Fall Fundraiser 10/05/26 - 10/18/26

We are kicking off our fall fundraiser officially on Monday, October 5th for two weeks. For every $20 "Slice the Price" card your student sells, the KJH Orchestra will keep 1/2.

Every student's minimum goal is to sell 3 cards.  Sell 15 and you get prizes!! The more the group sells the more prizes and bonuses we win.

How the Slice the Price Card works:

  • Buy a large, get a large FREE
  • The cost of the card is just $20 and that is around the price of a large pizza. So, if you use the card just one time, it pays for itself
  • Use the card as many times as you would like until it expires 6/30/2027.
  • Can be used for multiple purchases (Buy 10, get 10 FREE)

The card can be used at any participating location - nationwide. Check the map here.  Family can also donate cards to KJH Orchestra.

This flyer has a ton of information, please open and read for all the details. A copy will be sent home with students on Monday.

NOTE: Each student should be registered separately with a unique email address. Parents need to register any students under 13 as a "dependent".

2026 Formal Concert Black Dress Shirt

In anticipation of our upcoming concerts and formal pictures, it’s time for Advanced Orchestra students (2nd, 3rd, 5th periods) to order our black formal shirts. These shirts are a part of our required concert attire and allow us to appear formal and uniform as we represent our school and our program. They will be worn for all performances (except for the October costume concert) for as long as your student is in the orchestra.  When the shirts arrive, Mr. Ellsworth will give them to your student in class.

All students were sized in class. If your student does not have a shirt or has outgrown their shirt, you need to order a new one.  If they already have a shirt from a prior year that still fits and is in good condition, they do not need to order a new one, just let Mr. Ellsworth know.

Please send $22 payment by Wednesday, October 30th.  Send cash or check to school with your student or to pay online click here.

Sams Strings - Bronze Sponsor

Sam's Strings Violin Shop was founded in 2011 by professional cellist (BM and MM from the Peabody Conservatory) and bowmaker Sam Matthews, in an effort to provide his students, colleagues, and the music world with access to excellent instruments, bows, and accessories. Drawing on his training with master luthiers and as a bowmaker, his experience with partners across the USA and the world, and the insight of a professional musician and educator, Mr. Matthews and his colleagues aim to make every visit to our Katy, TX shop the most satisfactory and personal experience possible — whether you're renting a first instrument, purchasing a fine one, or bringing something to our workshop for repair or restoration. Mandarin and Spanish spoken in store.
